No idea what that review left by A.Comer is about... I have nothing but great things to say about this shop, its owner, and the employees. I bought my Cannondale from Chenango Point Cycles 3 years ago and always come back here for parts, maintenance, and general bike advice. I was entirely new to cycling when I first walked into this shop and the owner worked with me for nearly 2 hours to help me find the perfect road bike. Everyone who works here is incredibly friendly and, most importantly, honest. They've never pressured me to buy or replace anything that wasn't completely necessary for my safety. And when they do suggest I replace something, I'm always given plenty of options and the prices are very competitive. I'll be on my bike for a lot of years to come thanks to these guys.
The store operates in a fair and competent manner. You can count on them. Okay, maybe Jim fell off a bike one too many times without his helmet, but Josh can pick up the pieces. Its a great place to have a bike fixed, to purchase a new bike, or to get stuff for your bikes.
There is a reason they are rated so highly amongst cyclists - these guys know what they are doing. We have been going to them for years and they have always helped us out quickly and professionally. We needed 2 bikes looked at during a week stay here but didn't want to have them out of commission for more than a day. Brought them in at noon on day 1 and picked them up at noon on day 2. Never missed a day of cycling.
Their repair and tune-up guys are great and they have the expertise to make you feel comfortable going 50mph with the breaks they just tweaked for you. Sure, you can try other shops but you will come back to Chenango - because you know better ;-)
Actually the great motorbike shop on the town. As a former expert cyclist i'm fussy on who works on my motorcycle and i force by three different store on my manner to chenango point to drop my motorcycle off. palms down the most professional mechanics round
Overpriced bikes and gear and the staff tried telling my friend he needed all sorts of new parts on his bike but it turned out he just needed to adjust a cable and a spring. I don't respect this place at all
These guys are to love, and they need all the love they can get.
Bike on.
